Packing Checklist
Everything you’ll want for five days in Puerto Rico — from the plane to the fairway to the rainforest. We’ve put together our best recommendations so you can pack once, pack right, and arrive ready to enjoy every moment at the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve.
Good to Know Before You Go
No passport needed for U.S. citizens.
Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory. A REAL ID–compliant driver’s license or a passport will get you through airport security.
Same money, same outlets.
Puerto Rico uses the U.S. dollar and standard U.S. plugs — no adapters required.
Your phone plan should work as usual.
Most U.S. carriers treat Puerto Rico as domestic, but it’s worth a quick check with yours.
Expect warm days and quick tropical showers.
Pack light, breathable layers and something for the rain.

Dress for the Flamboyán Festival
On Wednesday, April 21, our last full night together, we celebrate the vibrant spirit of Puerto Rico at the Flamboyán Festival, inspired by the island’s beloved flame tree and its brilliant red-orange blooms. Think island-inspired cocktails, a festive celebration dinner, and an evening full of color and connection.
What to wear: Bring on the color! Bright hues, tropical prints, florals, linen, and island-inspired style are all encouraged.
